Precancereous Growths
Have you started to notice small rough, red and scaly spots on your face, scalp, chest or arms or legs? These growths are called actinic keratoses or AKs and are the harbingers of squamous cell skin cancer. First, Dr. Gordon will perform a complete skin exam to evaluate these and other growths. She will then recommend treatment options.
Treatment may include liquid nitrogen cryotherapy, topical therapy with Aldara or Efudex and one of the latest and most advanced treatments, photodynamic therapy with Levulan and Blu-U light.
